Sono – Noise Filter

Austrian industrial designer Rudolf Stefanich has created a concept device that is capable of filtering out user-selected noises from entering you room.

The ‘Sono’ transforms any window into an “active noise cancelling system” allowing users to eliminate and filter the sounds that pass through their windows.

The user turns the knob to filter what sounds come through the window. So, in theory, they could allow the pleasant sounds of nature to filter through whilst blocking all traffic and construction noises.

This device sounds promising and we’d love to see it in action! Too many sleepless nights due to alarms, dogs and traffic may be a thing of the past.

Head over to Design Taxi to see a video of it in action.
