Sewage Fuel for Cars

A town in Spain is becoming the first to trial a new form of car fuel which will be sourced from human waste.

The sewage treatment plant in Chiclana, Spain will produce an algae biomass that gets converted to a renewable biofuel.  An abundance of sunlight is required for this production.

The plant in Chiclana will produce enough gas to power around 200 cars annually.

Already, many other small Spanish towns are looking at the possibility of adopting this method.
