spaces that adapt to users’ needs at the flick of a switch.
London-based designer, Shamees Aden, had released information about a concept she is creating involving 3D printed trainers made from a synthetic biological material.
The Protocell trainer would match each individual’s foot (probably in the same way a retainer fits a person’s specific mouth) and be created out of protocells that would support the wearer whilst running on different surfaces.
The protocells degenerate after use but they just need to be stored in a jar full of protocell liquid to ‘regenerate’. Easy!
The concept is not imagined to become a reality until 2050 so for the time being you’ll have to make due with archaic trainers made out of rubber and material.
