A stunning new design in Tokyo from Rem Koolhaas’ OMA studio. We worked with OMA before on the Rothschild HQ in London and are always fascinated by their continuing portfolio.
When opened, the store will be used to display the American brand Coach’s latest accessories collections. The shell of the building is made entirely from clear and frosted glass which not only looks stunning but has the added benefit of functioning as an elaborate shelving system.
The herringbone – patterned display system allows for the collection to be viewed in its entirety from the street outside as well as giving natural background lighting for product viewing in store.
The Tokyo flagship is the first of the new generation of Coach stores and the design will be represented in all new additions to the brand’s chain.
