Bus Top Gardens

A Spanish landscape artist has proposed to install plant life on the rooftops of buses in major cities.

Marc Granen noticed that there was a lack of garden areas in built up cities and yet plenty of unused space, particularly on four wheels.

His roof top gardens do not use soil but instead a hydroponic foam system which can recycle the condensation from the bus’s air conditioning system to feed the plants.

Marc is currently in discussions with a bus company in Barcelona about developing a fleet of garden buses for the city.
